Wood Fired Ovens

These wood fired ovens look good, albeit at a fairly hefty price:

There are video tutorials about how to cook on the wood fired oven.

One of the structural glass spaces at Grand Designs Live 2011 @GDLive_2011 was dressed with furniture and lighting from www.bullet.org.uk . There was some really stylish stuff.

Pin Elbow Table

One product that caught my eye at Grand Designs 2011 @GDLive_2011 was the Pin Elbow Table from www.futureglass.com. It is simple and elegant, and just what I have been looking for to use as a computer desk. Starting at £279 for a rectangular top, it is not cheap, but is pure quality.

Dancook BBQ

I attended the Grand Designs Live 2011 @GDLive_2011 Exhibition today and made a purchase – a superb Dancook BBQ. The design and build quality is really very good – being made from 100% high grade stainless steel. The kettle features a second inner skin which lifts out to easily empty ash and clean it. This is a far more elegant and simple design than the Webber One-Touch Premium with its huge ash trap. I look forward to taking delivery. (And some sunny days).

Full width steps up to lawn.

One idea for the back garden of our present house could be to do away with the center steps to the lawn and have steps the full width of the garden at the bottom level. This would make it look wider and would get rid of the tired red brick wall and steps. It would also mean getting rid of the planted areas at the front edge of the lawn.
